The year is 2001. Voldemort has been defeated. The trio is now reunited. But things aren't the same as before. New couples are dating. Some have been married. Teachers have remained at Hogwarts upon Dumbledore's request. Life. Moves. On.
But for some, children have complicated the matter. Snape has taken in a young child who he believes may be the offspring of Voldemort and Bellatrix. Coinciding neatly with this child's raising is the fact that Hermione has given birth to twins. Harry Potter's twins.
But for now, all is peaceful. All is well. All is changing, in Shattered Realities.
